Three Iowa Hawkeyes Make ESPN’s Top 100 College Players List
Each year, the NFL Network debuts a list of the top 100 players in the National Football League. The rankings are determined by the votes of players in the NFL. The rankings don't mean a whole lot, but they do generate a fair amount of discussion. ESPN decided to release its own list, but this one focuses on the top 100 players in college football.
Three Hawkeyes Make the Top 100
KCRG reports that three Iowa Hawkeyes have made the ESPN Top 100 list. They incldue;
- Senior offensive lineman Kade Pieper at #40
- Senior offensive lineman Trevor Lauck at #54
- Senior defensive back Zach Lutmer at #72
Piper and Lauck will lead another great Iowa offensive line this season, while Lutmer will look to improve on last season's 3 interceptions.

Who Is The #1 Player On The List?
According to ESPN, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is the top-rated player in college football in 2026. The Hawkeyes will get to see him up close and personal as they host the Buckeyes at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, October 3rd.
Iowa opens the 2026-2027 season next Saturday at home against Northern Illinois. The game is sold out.
