This Iowa ATM Shoots Out Cookies

Cookies, Etc. has been treating the people of Clear Lake, Iowa to delicious baked goods for decades. Now, they've launched a Cookie ATM to make sure those cravings are satisfied even when the bakery is closed, and to offer a contactless experience for customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Owner, Mary Jo Banwart, told KIMT News, "The pandemic was the positive thing in that it gave us the push to provide an opportunity for people to come in and have a contactless way to get cookies without coming in contact with staff."

The Cookie ATM was unveiled on Cookies, Etc's Facebook page with a message that said, " Tada!! The Cookie ATM is officially up & running! Refrigerated individual cookies & bottled water on top. Frozen ice cream cookie sandwiches & ice cream novelties on the lower half."
