This 8-Year-Old Made $26 Million This Year
All kids are amazing in their own way but this kid is crazy, amazingly, rich. It's estimated that he earned $26 million from June of 2018 through June of this year. That's a cool $71,232 per day. He made more each day than the average Iowan will make for the entire year. According to ZipRecruiter, the average salary in Iowa is $60,935.
The boy's name is Ryan Kaji. He's an 8-year-old from Texas who last year earned $22 million. So how did he make all that money? On YouTube, where he posts reviews on toys. Ryan has a channel called Ryan's World that has 23 million subscribers. According to YouTube, his videos have been viewed over 34-and-a-half BILLION times since he joined YouTube in March of 2015.
YouTube won't be selling personalized ads on children's content next year, which is likely to have an impact on a number of child-millionaires. In the case of Ryan and his family, I think they'll survive YouTube's changes just fine. Ryan also has his own TV show, 'Ryan's Mystery Playdate,' on Nickelodeon Jr. Oh, and he has his own toys. Ryan's World toys are readily available. Here's just one of many:
