The Most Popular Netflix Shows in Iowa and the Midwest

Netflix has released a TON of original content these past few years, but some of their programs are more popular than others! The website Perfect Rec recently published a list of the most popular Netflix shows in all 50 states. The final list was determined by Google searches. The article reads:

"Using Google trends, we looked the search results for the top 50 Netflix series (as measured by total IMDB reviews in the US). [The map] shows which state had the highest portion of their total searches over the last twelve months for each show."

Here in Iowa, the Netflix show that Iowans can't stop watching is the reality series 'Love is Blind!'

If you're not familiar with 'Love is Blind,' Netflix describes the show as a "social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person." If you think that sounds like a disaster, you would be correct! But it's a very ENTERTAINING disaster, like most reality dating shows. 'Love is Blind' debuted back in 2020, which probably aided in its popularity. The latest season, season four, came out earlier this year. It is hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey.

Personally, my favorite Netflix show would have to be 'Stranger Things.' Whenever there's a new season, I typically don't leave my TV until I'm finished with it!
