Insurance customers around the nation are very satisfied with their carriers, according to a new report from J.D. Power. However, what part of the country you're in appears to have a big impact on which insurance provider(s) are the most appreciated.

There are a total of five factors in the 2018 U.S. Auto Insurance Study. They're price, billing process and policy information, claims, policy offerings, and interaction. Well over 44,000 auto insurance customers were involved in the survey.

The report shows the winner in the central region of the U.S., is Shelter Insurance. Auto-Owners Insurance comes in second followed by Geico, which is in the process of building a new facility along Interstate 380, near North Liberty. Auto Club of Southern California Insurance Group is the only other Iowa insurer rated above the average for this part of the U.S. The central region includes Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.

A look at this list and you may decide it's time to consider a change. I know I did.
