The Best Country Songs to Help You Drift Off to Dream
If you're anything like me, sometimes you turn to music to help you relax and yes, even fall asleep. Clearly, some songs work better than others in helping you drift off to dream. But which ones? A new study has broken down why some songs work better than others when you're trying to fall asleep.
So how do you determine if a song is 'sleep worthy?' Mornings.co.uk turned to Spotify and looked at 10 audio features that are present in the sleepiest of lullabies. They include Acousticness, Danceability, Energy, Instrumentalness, Loudness, Mode, Speechiness, Tempo, Time Signature, and Valence. That allowed a sleep scale to be developed, ranking songs from zero to 100, with 100 being the most sleep-inducing. So what country songs should you be listening to if you want to doze off?
1. Girl Crush - Little Big Town - Sleep Score of 88.7
2. Burning House - Cam - Sleep Score of 88.5
3. Better Together - Luke Combs - Sleep Score of 84.5
4. Mercy - Brett Young - Sleep Score of 77.2
5. Blue Ain't Your Color - Keith Urban - Sleep Score of 75.7
