Slider Food Truck Opens New Location Inside NewBo City Market

Early this spring, NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids announced that five new vendors were in the process of moving in. We're happy to report that the last of those five is now welcoming customers! Sliderlicious Sliders is officially open for business.

About Sliderlicious Sliders

Sliderlicious Sliders got its start as a food truck back in the summer of 2024. The truck looked like a little log cabin and offered rustic-themed sliders, with names like Lumberjack's Delight and Smokey Mountain Brisket. Unfortunately, the truck was totaled in an accident just a few weeks later, which resulted in the business continuing as a food tent until money could be raised for a new truck.

In February of this year, Sliderlicious Sliders made a big announcement on social media regarding the future of the business! The post said:

"After a period of significant progress behind the scenes, we are delighted to share that we will be opening a shop in NewBo Market, Cedar Rapids, at the end of May this year. In addition to our ongoing mobile business, this new indoor location will enable us to expand our reach."

After a quiet few months, the business finally gave another update on their progress earlier this month. They let customers know that they would be hosting a soft opening on June 10th and 11th, with the grand opening to follow on Friday, June 12th. That means that Sliderlicious Sliders is now open for regular business hours!

The Menu

The main focus of the menu at Sliderlicious Sliders is, obviously, their sliders! They are all quarter-pound sliders served on pretzel buns. Some of the current options include the Cabin Creek Slider, which contains pulled short ribs, the Spicy Frontier, which has a jalapeno and cream cheese-stuffed beef patty, and the Smokey Mountain Brisket Slider. There's also a vegetarian option called the Mountain Valley Veggie Slider that replaces meat with grilled, marinated Portobello mushrooms.

According to the Facebook page, the menu at Sliderlicious Sliders "will be updated regularly as [they] receive more product stock." They also noted that their fried food options are "temporarily unavailable" due to fryer repairs. Sides that are currently available include potato salad, macaroni salad, and steakhouse mashed potatoes.

NewBo Hours

Sliderlicious Sliders is located inside of NewBo City Market, which is currently operating under its summer hours. The market is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the latest menu updates from Sliderlicious Sliders on their Facebook page HERE.
