A new scam has popped up in eastern Iowa regarding redlight and traffic cameras. Potential victims are reporting they are receiving calls from an individual who says they owe money for camera tickets they haven't paid.  The caller then demands payments over the phone by way of credit card or other personal information.  Officials with the Cedar Rapids police say they will make calls to those who have deliquent citations - but will never demand money.  If money is demanded during a phone call, police should be contacted immediately.
