As we approach the Easter weekend, myth's start coming out about our weather. Below are some of the saying you may hear. Remember, these are only myths

"If it rains on Easter Sunday, it will rain the next seven Sundays in a row." Now some years this may seem true, but in the Spring time of the year, we tend to get rain. Thus April showers bring May flowers. Pretty easy to get some rain in April and have it linger into May

"In whatever direction the wind blows on Good Friday, it will blow for forty days." We live in Iowa, it always seems a little windy especially in the Spring. And 40 days of wind, I'd lose count after about 10 days.

"If there is enough rain on Easter Sunday to wet a pocket handkerchief, there will be a good crop year." It doesn't take much to wet a pocket handkerchief. We've had rain before on Easter Sunday only to have a dry Summer.

"The sun never shines on Good Friday." Although this may seem true today as it's cloudy... seems like just last year we had sunshine on Good Friday. It was cold, but we did have sunshine last year on Good Friday.

Have a Great Easter Everyone!!!
