Popular Local Ice Cream Shop Opens Soon

It may not seem like it, but spring is near. Signs are popping up everywhere, including this one on Facebook:

That's exciting news!! The shop is located at 915 S. 11th Street in Marion and its Facebook page says it opens THIS FRIDAY, March 1st, at 11 a.m. Its regular hours are posted as 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday (closed for an hour at 10 p.m.) and 1-10 p.m. on Sunday.

Other seasonal ice cream shops won't be far behind and in fact, we're hearing a few of the seasonal Dairy Queens have opened their doors already! It's all so exciting. Soon, we will be attending the Farmers' Markets in downtown Cedar Rapids and all will be right with the world.

What sign of spring you're getting excited for? Here's just a few: The trees budding out. Green grass. Wearing t-shirts and shorts outside. The Downtown Farmer's Market. Please hurry, spring.
