Parents Looking For Answers After Reports Of Abuse At Marion School
The mother of a student at Starry Elementary School in Marion is claiming that her child is the victim of abuse. According to a report by KCRG, the mother, who is remaining anonymous, wants more answers from the school district.
A Marion Police Department investigator contacted the parent on November 2 about an incident that happened inside the student's classroom. It involved a high school aged helper inside the classroom. The mother asked her child about it and found out that something did indeed happen.
The mother goes on to say that the school district has NOT contacted her about the issue. The student helper has been removed from the classroom, but not the school. Counselors have also been made available to any student who may need them.
The Marion Police Department has confirmed the investigation. The high school student helper has not been charged.
