Our Newest KHAK ‘Teacher of the Week’ Winner is From Tipton

It's that time of the week again! This morning we honored another amazing local teacher with our 'Teacher of the Week' award!

This week's winner is Ross Schmitz, a 3rd-grade teacher at Tipton Elementary School in Tipton. The nomination was sent in anonymously, but the nominator did send in the above photo! The entry reads:

"I have never met a teacher more dedicated to not only their students' education, but their confidence and happiness, than Mr. Schmitz. His compassion for his students is beyond what any parent could hope for. He has made a huge impact on not only my son's education, but his life."

For being an excellent teacher, Ross will be receiving gift cards to Half Price Books in Cedar Rapids and Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery in Walford.
