A Unique Vendor Market is Returning to Eastern Iowa This May
Mark your calendars for May 24th and 25th! The popular Good Makers Market will return to Tipton on Memorial Day weekend!
The Good Makers Market is run by Jessica Meyer and got its start at The Barn at Bunker Hill in Wilton in September of 2016. The following year, it moved to its current home, the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Tipton. The fairgrounds offered more space and more parking, plus its in a prime location in between Iowa City and the Quad Cities.
The Good Makers Market describes itself as "Eastern Iowa's Hippest Market" and was recently named as one of seven best markets in the Midwest by Midwest Living. Guests can shop over 150 hand-picked vendors with everything from clothing, jewelry, and accessories to plants, home decor, and furniture. There are also two stages with live music, as well as two areas for food and beverage vendors. That includes Girl + food by cafe fresh, The Salty Hog, Smiley's, Stonewall Brick Over Pizza, Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, Bev the Barbarian, and more.
The spring Good Makers Market will take place Friday, May 24th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 25th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first 100 shoppers both days will receive a free swag bag. Admission is $10 per person, with kids 14 and under free. The $10 admission fee will get you in BOTH days. For more information of the market, you can check out the official website HERE.
There are two Good Makers Markets each year. The fall market is set for Labor Day Weekend, August 30th and 31st.
