It's time for us to announce another winner of our KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' award!

Our latest honoree is Thomas Jackson, a social studies teacher at Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids! Thomas was nominated by Laurie Weaver. The entry reads:

"This man brings enthusiasm and humor to his classroom to captivate his students on a daily basis. He brings history alive by creating and producing different interactive projects like recreating the Feudal Era for the students to live and learn. He is always looking for learning opportunities, extending them into the hallway and auditorium. Students who have/had him all boast of his wonderful teaching style and of having had him as a teacher, while the others look on with envy. It is for this reason I am nominating Tom Jackson for Teacher of the Week."

For being such a great teacher, Thomas will be receiving gift cards to Wild Hogs in Walford and Half Price Books in Cedar Rapids!

If you know another amazing educator in the area, be sure to nominate them to be our next 'Teacher of the Week' HERE. Once they're in, they're entered for the entire school year!
