Our Latest KHAK ‘Teacher of the Week’ Winner Comes From Marion

It's that time of the week again - time to announce our latest KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' winner!

This week's honoree is Travis Stearns, a math teacher at Vernon Middle School in Marion. Travis was nominated by Josh Hogan. He wrote:

"Travis is not only a 7th-grade math teacher but a wrestling coach, varsity assistant football coach, and a youth baseball assistant coach. He goes out of his way to make sure his students are taken care of in the classroom and goes the extra mile to help my son, who struggles mightily at math. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough for all that he does!"

For being such a fantastic teacher and coach, Travis will be receiving gift cards to Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery in Walford and Half Price Books in Cedar Rapids.
