*Furry Friday is sponsored by Theisen's Home, Farm, Auto.

Our virtual Furry Fridays continue, and while we don't get to see the dogs in our studio like we used to, we're sure glad to be working with our friends as amazing local shelters like Dogs Forever in Cedar Rapids. This week, we got to learn all about our new pal Allie!

Allie is around 2 years old and is a Basset Hound/Catahoula mix. Look at what a beautiful color she is! And those big floppy ears are adorable. Like other similar breeds, Allie doesn't get along well with cats, so she needs to keep her distance. But she does get along with other dogs, and of course other humans! She is an active dog, so she would do well with someone with an active lifestyle. And remember, she's only two, so she still has a bit of that puppy attitude left.

Allie is currently being sheltered at Dogs Forever in Cedar Rapids, and unlike some shelters, they are back open for personal visits! You can visit Allie and all the other dogs up for adoption on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Social distancing and masks are required when visiting. But it's a great chance to meet Allie and all the other dogs in person. You can get the adoption process started by filling out an application at DogsForever.org!

Also, the Dogs Forever calendar contest continues! Get your dog featured on their 2021 calendar. View the rules HERE, and also purchase your calendar for next year!
