The 49th Annual CMA Awards are three weeks from Wednesday on ABC-TV. Today, the awards show got a definite shot of girl power with the addition of more performers that will sing, during the telecast.

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood will host the awards show again this year, and not surprisingly will once again perform. The CMA Awards should be the perfect platform for Brad's current hit, Country Nation.

Miranda Lambert is nominated for four awards, and once again gets a performance nod. I'd expect a VERY warm embrace from the country music community following her divorce from Blake Shelton this summer.

The duo Maddie & Tae made up of Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye, are nominated for three awards and will undoubtedly bring Fly to the stage.

Brain's favorite Kacey Musgraves will light up the stage again and she literally may light it up. She often wears costumes that feature built-in lights.

Newcomer Kelsea Ballerini is nominated for two awards. Will she do Love Me Like You Mean It or Dibs? We'll find out soon enough.

It will also be a night for duets. Thomas Rhett and Fall Out Boy will perform together as will Eric Church and Hank Williams Jr. The CMA Awards already hold a ton of star power with more, no doubt, still to be added. You can usually count on surprises too from both the performances and the awards that are handed out as well. It really is Country Music's Biggest Night. I'll be watching November 4, and I know you will be too.
