The Unicode Consortium has announced that they will officially be adding 38 new emojis to their collection!

First of all, if you don't know who the Unicode Consortium is, they are the guys who design the emojis that are found on all smartphones. Each individual company (like Apple or Microsoft) then decides which ones they want to include in their products. That's why people with Droids sometimes have different options than people with iPhones.

That being said, in June of 2016 we could all be seeing some of these new emojis on our phones. There are some really useful ones... and then some NOT so useful ones. Here are my favorites:

  • Lying face (think Pinocchio)
  • Fingers-crossed
  • Pregnant Woman (kind of looks like the dancing woman, but a bigger belly - coincidence?)
  • Face palm
  • Shrug
  • Dancing man
  • Bacon
  • Potato (...what?)

Sorry Taco Bell, there's still no taco. You can see what all the new emojis will look like HERE.
