Monticello is Home to This Week’s ‘Teacher of the Week’

We're ending the week by honoring another amazing Eastern Iowa teacher with our KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' Award!

Congratulations to Leanna Manternach, a 3rd-grade teacher at Sacred Heart School in Monticello. Leanna was nominated by Kristy Hoeger. Her entry said:

"Mrs. Manternach was my teacher when I attended Sacred Heart School. She now teaches my son. When he came home from his first day of school he said, “I think this is going to be the best year yet”. She not only teaches third grade but also runs the religious education program at the school. She is a great example to the students of dedication and faith."

For being such a wonderful educator, Leanna will be receiving gift cards to Wild Hogs  Saloon & Eatery in Walford and Half Price Books in Cedar Rapids!
