Michael Jordan Still Ranked Greatest Athlete of All Time

Asking the public to tell you the 'best' something in history can be problematic. Why? We tend to think that what is great NOW, has to be the greatest ever! That is especially true when it comes to ranking athletes. Who is the greatest athlete of all time? Well, it depends who you ask. A new Harris Poll did just that. The answer, just like it was six years ago, is an athlete whose legend doesn't seem to dim. Michael Jordan. 

Why is Jordan number one? Well, lets start with the obvious. 6 NBA titles with the Bulls. Multiple MVP's. Scoring titles galore. And the highlight reel? Too long to even post a link to! But Jordan's legacy is so much more than what he did on the court. It's what he became OFF it. Jordan basketball shoes, Gatorade commericials and McDonalds commercials. The guy was, and still is a marketing gold mine! He was the perfect athlete for his point in history.

Baseball great Babe Ruth came in 2nd and Muhammad Ali came in at number 3. Rounding out the top five were Serena Williams and Peyton Manning.
