A Cedar Rapids restaurant that opened just eight months ago has already closed. In this case, though, that's good news. They're moving to a larger location.

Mamacita Taco Bar opened in the 800 block of 1st Ave NE in early March of 2022. It has been a very popular spot for lovers of Mexican food. The restaurant is rated a 5 on Yelp, 4.7 on DoorDash, and has 27 5-star reviews on its Facebook page. Here are a few reviews, complete with photos:

Mamacita Taco Bar announced on Saturday, November 26 that it would be their last day in business at the 1st Avenue location. However, they'll be reopening in a new spot soon.

The new location for Mamacita Taco Bar will be at 3025 Mt. Vernon Road SE. The building they'll be located in was home to Vernon Bar and Grill before that restaurant moved down the street to the former Cork & Fork building back in August. Mamacita Taco Bar says the new spot "will have more space, booth seating, bigger menu & a beautiful new bar."

Below is the menu that Mamacita Taco Bar has been using at their 1st Avenue location. Obviously, it appears that's going to be changing, and expanding with the opening of the new location.
