This week's episodes of 'American Idol' were very intense! ABC aired the last of the auditions, with a bunch of amazing singers landing their golden tickets. We even have an Iowa contestant (read more about here HERE)!

Speaking of Iowa contestants, another familiar face made an appearance on last night's episode, but she was completely unrecognizable. Previous winner and Clarksville-native Maddie Poppe played a prank on the judges by auditioning at "Lady Mapo." I could tell it was her fairly quickly, but it looks like Katy, Lionel, and Luke were all VERY surprised!

Maddie's fake audition was very entertaining, but it wasn't one of my favorites this week (sorry, Maddie!) The singer I was most impressed with was Ashley Hess, who played the piano and sang one of my favorite songs: "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones:

I was also a big fan of Evelyn Cormier's performance of "Wicked Games" by Chris Isaak. She definitely has a voice unlike any other:

And I guess I'm going with a female theme, here, but Jade Flores might have my favorite country voice in the competition so far. She did Deana Carter's "Strawberry Wine" and I think I like it more than the original:

My final favorite of the week was Emma Kleinberg, who sang a song I had never heard before, but sold it like it was her own:

We're looking forward to Hollywood Week next week! Check out the rest of this week's auditions HERE.
