The Corridor is set to get its very own cat cafe! A new business called Mabel & Pearl Tea Co. is working on open up a unique space in Marion!

According to the official Facebook page, Mabel & Pearl Tea Co. will be "a cozy space where you can sip your favorite teas and spend therapeutic time with adoptable cats. Where humans and felines find comfort, joy, and companionship in each other." The business actually got its name from the owners' adorable "grand kitties," which you can see below!

Sadie & Nicholas, the owners of Mabel & Pearl Tea Co., are also the folks behind the Purposeful Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, which is a non-profit animal welfare organization based out of Marion. The new space will "provide an enriching environment for cats awaiting their forever homes."

In order to bring their vision to life, Sadie is asking the community for support. First of all, you can follow the official Mabel & Pearl Tea Co. Facebook page HERE for the latest updates. That's where you'll be able to see any local vendor events that they're participating in, like the Eastern Iowa Pet Expo event on November 30th at the National Guard Armory in Cedar Rapids. You can also shop the official website HERE. They offer tea, teaware, and other fun merchandise that brings together their love of tea and cats. The post says that "every bit of support helps us get one step closer to opening our doors and making a real difference for homeless cats in our community!"

We can't wait to see this venture become a reality!
