A post on the Paramount Theatre's Facebook page says that they'll be joined by two area high schools and Mark Wood for a "Symphony on the Rocks" concert at the Paramount Theatre.

Mark Wood is a longtime member of the "Trans-Siberian Orchestra", the group that expertly blends rock and classical music and has become renowned for its Christmas recordings and beyond.

Kennedy and Jefferson High Schools will perform with him, and Maestro Tim and Orchestra Iowa on November 8 at 7:30 p.m. Get ticket information here.

"Symphony on the Rocks" shows are fantastic and right up the alley of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, so you won't want to miss this.

What they will be playing at this show is music from the likes of Queen, Led Zeppelin, even Earth, Wind & Fire. It's a style that's become known as "symphonic rock".

What an experience for these kids to be seen by an audience of their music-loving community members and learn from some awesome professionals.

Good luck to them.
