Former Iowa women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder left a huge imprint on the women's basketball program and the University of Iowa. Tuesday, Bluder was honored as the latest incarnation of Herky in Iowa's Herky on Parade project.

Bluder surprised many when she announced her retirement back in May. She had led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship games, five Big Ten Tournament titles, and two Big Ten regular season titles. She was named Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2001, 2008, and 2010 and was named Naismith National Coach of the Year in 2019. Yes, Bluder had done it all. But on Tuesday, the former head coach was called to Iowa City to witness the unveiling of her Herky statue!

The Herky on Parade statue features Bluder holding a basketball net, no doubt from one of Iowa's back-to-back Final Four appearances! She is also wearing several championship rings. The Lisa Bluder Herky statue can be found on the University of Iowa campus inside the Iowa Athletic Hall of Fame. The Hayden Fry Herky can also be found in the same location.
