Wow, that six weeks went by fast! I've been out on maternity leave for over a month and it feels great to be back.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every minute of my time off with my little ones, but I have missed this place. In September I gave birth to my second baby, a little girl who we named Karter Rose. She's perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect with her since my first was a bit, let's say rambunctious, as an infant. But, she's such a good baby. She sleeps pretty well at night, only waking up two or three times then goes right back down. And she's content throughout the day unless she needs something. Not to mention she's adorable.

We've certainly got our hands full with a toddler and an infant, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I look forward to the bond they'll share being so close in age. Sure they'll have their fights, but at least they'll always have each other. I also look forward to seeing Wes as a big brother. He's already taking an interest in his little sister. He tries to hold her and points to her. He also comes running when she cries which is pretty cute.

Wes is getting so big too. He's walking (running) around, babbling, has a mouth full of teeth and is sleeping through the night (thank you, sweet baby Jesus). It's so cool to watch him grow.

I love being a mom to these two little ones, and I can't wait for all of the wonderful times ahead. Here are some photos of how they've grown:

The first is of my 16-month-old, Weston, in his natural element...barefoot, dirty, playing with sticks.
