Target Reduces Prices on 3,000 Items for Spring 2026
Earlier this week, I wrote about Target's plan to win customers back after reporting a 1.5% dip in fourth-quarter sales. The Minnesota-based retail chain is planning a major in-store makeover at more than 600 locations, but that’s only half the story. Target's leadership also just announced that they are slashing prices on more than 3,000 items just in time for spring shopping.
Cara Sylvester, the company's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said, "We're committed to making it easier than ever for guests to have the fresh style and incredible value they love, with lower prices on the items we know they want."

Target Announces Remodel and Reduced Prices on 3,000 Items for Spring 2026
After seeing sales slip in clothing, home decor, and everyday essentials, Target is making a massive move to win customers back. While the biggest news for your budget is the 3,000+ price cuts hitting the shelves this spring, here's a look at what will be changing inside the actual stores:
- The "Beauty Studio": The beauty department is getting a total redesign. The Ulta Beauty sections are being replaced by a new “Beauty Studio” concept featuring over 60 new brands.
- “Fun101”: A brand-new section packed with collectibles, sports gear, and pop-culture merchandise aimed at younger shoppers and collectors.
- Fresh Food Expansion: Target is also expanding its grocery options to make those quick food runs even easier.
Target also announced it is slashing prices on more than 3,000 items with reductions of 5% to 20% on the stuff we actually buy. See which types of items will be cheaper below.
A press release on the company's website explains that these reductions start this month and continue throughout spring on select items, including apparel for women and kids, home updates like bedding and blankets, on-trend footwear, and everyday essentials like baby items and pantry staples.
