Iowa Woman Arrested After Exceeding 140 MPH
If you were to pull up my driving record, you wouldn't see a blemish in the past ten or fifteen years. But when I was in my 20's, I had a problem. That problem was speed. I had several speeding tickets happen in a short amount of time and even ended up in traffic school. My car insurance per month was more than my car payment. It was a wake-up call that I needed to slow down. It turns out I'm not the only one with a speeding problem.
An Iowa woman was recently pulled over for speeding in Nebraska. Something that happens quite frequently I'd imagine. Have you ever driven across Nebraska? The Council Bluffs resident was cited for speeding, and the officer let her leave. But officers say as she left, she accelerated quickly and broke the speed limit...AGAIN! Police gave chase and speeds hit around 142 miles per hour! She was stopped again and charged with willful reckless driving.
Two speeding tickets in a matter of minutes. That tops anything I ever did. My record was two in a week. It's an expensive lesson this woman is about to learn the hard way!
