When you watch his highlight reel, you can't help but dream of him wearing the black and gold inside Kinnick Stadium. Will he follow his former high school teammate to Iowa City?

His name is Kadyn Proctor. 247 Sports ranks him as the nation's best offensive tackle in the class of 2023. He's their 7th-ranked player nationally (Proctor is ranked 6th by ESPN). According to 247 Sports, if he becomes a Hawkeye, Proctor would be the highest-ranked recruit to ever wear an Iowa Hawkeye uniform.

Before we move on to Proctor's highlight video, you should know he's from Iowa. A native of Runnells, he plays for Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, a suburb of Des Moines.

Proctor has scholarship offers from seven Big Ten schools among his 43 total offers, according to his recruitment page on 247 Sports. His highlight video from last season leaves no doubt as to why. The 6'7" 330-pound Proctor is a bulldozer on the field.

Last fall, Proctor talked about his recruitment.

Much has changed in Proctor's recruitment in recent days. He has announced he'll be making an official visit to Iowa City this weekend, June 24 through 26. The big surprise from Proctor is that he's canceling a series of visits to other schools and has narrowed his choices to Alabama and Iowa. In the tweet, Proctor said,

"... I felt it was in my best interest to narrow down and focus on the ones I truly believe will get me to become better, and put me on the right track for success."

*Late last fall, Proctor's Southeast Polk teammate and fellow 5-star recruit Xavier Nwankpa announced he would be playing for Iowa. A year older than Proctor, the Iowa Hawkeyes roster shows Nwankpa will be wearing #1 this fall.

Here's hoping Proctor decides to join Nwankpa in Iowa City. They'd both look good in black and gold, don't you think?
