The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12th. Koerner was driving a jet ski with a passenger on the Lake of the Ozarks, a popular resort destination in Missouri.

The story said Koerner's watercraft collided with a boat. It was a pretty bad crash and both Koerner and his passenger were rushed to the hospital.

Koerner was okay and was released from the hospital. His passenger, Cole Coffin, is a different story. They had to take Coffin to the hospital by aircraft for surgery. Unfortunately, doctors had to amputate his leg in order to save his life. Coffin had another surgery on Sunday to repair nerve endings to his muscles.

Koener released a tweet that said the following:

"I want to thank everyone who has reached out, shown support and relayed prayers. I'm going to be okay and look forward to making as fast a recovery as possible. Please everyone continue to say prayers and show support to my good friend Cole."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to both young men and their families.
