[ORIGINAL STORY] A central Iowa husband and father of 11 has disappeared, and his family and authorities are seeking the public's help finding him.
38-year-old Jay Wynkoop of Webster City left his home around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, October 20, to run an errand. He left his phone and wallet behind and hasn't been seen since, though his Chrysler 2000 has been found.
According to the Des Moines Register, video surveillance at Doc's Stop in Webster City shows him pulling into the parking lot just before 1 p.m. His wife, Danielle, says he stops there all the time because they have his favorite root beer. However, no surveillance video shows him entering the store. She says "it's like he just dropped off the face of the planet."
When he left home Sunday, Wynkoop was wearing Ariat blue jeans, a black Carhartt hoodie, a black Adidas hat, and brown steel toe work boots. He is 5'8" and weighs 230 pounds.
Anyone with information about Jay Wynkoop's whereabouts is asked to call the Webster City Police Department at (515) 832-9166.
