Iowa has never had both the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and the Big Ten Player of the Week. Until now, that is.

Iowa senior guard Peter Jok has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time this season, and the third time in his Hawkeye career. Jok averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, and five assists last week in Iowa victories over Stetson and #25 Iowa State.

Iowa redshirt freshman Isaiah Moss has been named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week. Moss averaged 17.5 points and five rebounds in the two Iowa wins last week. It's his first time being honored by the Big Ten.

Iowa has never had both the Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Week during the same week. Then again, the freshman honors only debuted in 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if we see it again this season, though. Jok continues to light up the scoreboard and there are plenty of freshmen with talent on the Iowa roster.
