Iowans Can Get Free Pancakes Today for National Pancake Day!

Good news, pancake-lovers! IHOP has declared March 4th as National Pancake Day 2025. That means you can go in and enjoy some free pancakes today!

Today only (Tuesday, March 4th, 2025), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., anyone can stop into their local IHOP location for a free short stack of pancakes. The deal is only available for dine-in orders, so please remember to still tip your server! IHOP also notes that you can make a donation to Feeding America on your check or online, in honor of their Month of Giving.

IHOP has been celebrating National Pancake Day for 18 years now, but this year, they decided to make the celebration even BIGGER. On Saturday, March 1st, the popular breakfast chain set out to break the Guinness World Record for 'Most Pancakes Served in 8 Hours.' The goal was to serve 20,000 FREE pancakes at the Santa Monica Pier in California between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

We're happy to report that IHOP not only reached their goal, they exceeded it! According to the Guinness World Records website, they ended up serving a total of 25,689 pancakes. Impressive! The site also says, "in addition to breaking the Guinness World Records title, IHOP donated $20,000 USD to the non-profit organization Feeding America in celebration of National Pancake Day."
