Here are The Places Veterans Can Get Free Food on Veterans Day

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 11th, is Veterans Day. It's a day to honor all the brave men and women who have fought to protect us here in America in the past and the present. The very least we can do to thank them for their sacrifice is to offer them some free food!

Many restaurants, including both locally-owned ones and national chains, are giving veterans and active military the opportunity to eat for free tomorrow. We have provided a list below of places here in Eastern Iowa that are offering deals. All the deals listed are specifically for November 11th, 2020, unless noted otherwise. It's also important to remember that the majority of the restaurants do require you to show a military I.D. in order to claim your food. Here are some of the options:

Applebee's - Veterans can claim a free meal from a select menu
Boulder Tap House - Veterans can choose a free meal from a special Veterans Day menu or a free draft beer with the purchase of a burger
Buffalo Wild Wings - Veterans can get a free order of 10 boneless wings and a side of fries for dine-in or carry out
Casey's General Store - Veterans can get a free coffee
Chili's - Veterans can claim a free meal from a select menu (in-restaurant only)
Dunkin' - Veterans can claim a free donut of their choice
Happy Joe's - Free Little Joe pizza for any military personnel
Hy-Vee - Veterans can get a free breakfast for curbside pickup from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Little Caesar’s - Veterans get a free $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Outback Steakhouse - Veterans can order a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coke product (dine-in or to-go)
Red Lobster - Veterans can claim a free appetizer or dessert from a special menu
Starbucks - Veterans and military spouses can get a free tall hot-brewed coffee
Sugarfire Cedar Rapids - Veterans can claim a free 6oz Smoked Meat Sandwich or Single Burger and a side
Taco John's - Veterans/active military can get a free small Beef #1 Combo Meal using the Taco John’s App - enter the promo code “VETERAN” under the “More” tab
Texas Roadhouse - Free dinner vouchers will be handed out to veterans in restaurant parking lots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vouchers can be redeemed in-store until June of 2021
Wendy's - Veterans can claim a free small breakfast combo from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Brogan's Pub & Grub (Palo) - Veterans can order a free Patriot Basket meal (includes a 1/2 pound hamburger, French fries, and a choice of coleslaw or cottage cheese) - dine-in only
Edith Lucielle's Bait Shack & Wing Depot (Cedar Rapids) - Veterans can get a free Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich and homemade fries between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery (Walford) - Veterans can get a free flame grill cheeseburger with fries
