Hansen Household Breaks A Record

We broke a record here in the Hansen household last month. The "lowest ever" gas & electric bill for our family. We went the entire month of October without using any electric or gas to cool or heat the house.

The mild fall weather really helped out. It wasn't always easy as a few times it actually got below 60 degrees in our house. To help create some heat in the house we just baked something in the oven and that took the chill off.

The Alliant bill came in the mail this week and to our surprise, it was under $120. We were hoping for something around $140. Not sure we will see something this low again... maybe next May.
