Former Iowa Standout Hannah Stuelke Heading Overseas
When Hannah Stuelke didn't hear her name called during this spring's WNBA Draft, basketball fans knew it was only a matter of time before Hannah would find her new basketball home. That home just doesn't happen to be in the United States.
Former Hawkeye Stuelke Signs Pro Contract
The Des Moines Register reports that Hannah Stuelke will begin her professional career in Italy. The former Hawkeye and Cedar Rapids Washington alum has signed with Serie A1 side Broni.
An All-Time Great Hawkeye
Stuelke earned second-team All Big Ten honors from both the coaches and media following her senior season at Iowa, according to the Register. It was the third second-team selection of her career.
Stuelke's 1,565 points rank 14th in Iowa women's basketball history. Her 910 career rebounds are tied for fifth in Iowa history, according to the Register. And Hannah is one of just FOUR Hawkeye players to record 1,550 points and 900 rebounds in their Iowa career.
Congratulations, Hannah, and enjoy Italy!
