A Cute New Vintage & Antique Shop Will Open in Marion This Weekend

A new small business here in the Corridor will hold its grand opening this weekend! The Glittering Pear is set to open this Sunday, June 1st!

About The Glittering Pear

According to the Facebook page, the Glittering Pear "offers a curated selection of vintage & antiques alongside handcrafted pieces of art," which allows customers "an opportunity to shop sustainably while supporting local artists."

If the name 'The Glittering Pear,' sounds familiar, you may have seen owner Ravyn and her booth at local vendor markets, including the recurring Odd Mama's Market here in Cedar Rapids. The most recent market was on May 24th.

The New Storefront

Back in April, it was announced on the Glittering Pear Facebook page that the small business would be getting its very own storefront in Marion! It's located at 620 7th Ave, which is right next to Dunkin' in the former home of Lily and Rose Floral Studio. The floral shop moved just up the road to 1244 7th Ave in Marion back in January.

The Grand Opening

The Glittering Pear will officially begin welcoming customers this Sunday, June 1st, with the grand opening celebration happening from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you'd like to get a better idea of some of the items the shop offers, you can check out the business' Facebook page HERE. Otherwise, just stop out Sunday and see for yourself! The Glittering Pear will also be at the first ever North Iowa Vintage & Oddities Expo on Saturday, June 14th in Mason City.
