*Furry Friday is brought to you by Theisen's Home, Farm, Auto.

One of the things that we miss the most that has gone away during the pandemic is our Furry Friday segments. We miss being able to have dogs up in the studio to pet and play with. But like everything else in 2020, Furry Friday has gone virtual! Thanks to technology, we're going to able to bring you information on a dog that needs a new home each week via Zoom. This week, we kick things off with Petey.

Petey is currently at Safe Haven of Iowa County. We chatted with Katie and found out all about this lovable dog. Petey is around three and half to four years old and is a Rottweiler, Lab, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is around 75 pounds and is a big boy! Unfortunately, life for Petey hasn't always been easy. His upbringing was not ideal for a puppy. He has a tough time with men. But once he bonds with people, he is extremely loving and protective. Petey would need to be the only dog in the family, and would do best with no young kids and no other pets.

Petey has been undergoing lots of training at Safe Haven, and the next step is finding the perfect home. If you think you have the time to work with Petey and give him the love and attention he deserves, he will return the love ten times over! You can contact Safe Haven of Iowa County and fill out an application today.
