Free Admissions Available For 10 Cedar Rapids Attractions

'Freebie February' has arrived. Looking back on a year that's been difficult for so many, including area attractions, the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and Cedar Rapids Tourism Office have launched a collaboration that allows area residents and visitors to get free admissions and memberships to ten local attractions.

At the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (above), you can get a family membership with unlimited free general admission to the museum, as well as the Grant Wood Studio. It covers two adults and all kids in that household that are under 18. There are 125 free memberships available. They're good through February 28, 2022.

A total of 150 free family memberships are available at the African American Museum of Iowa. Good for a year, the membership includes unlimited museum admissions for immediate family members, along with other benefits.

The historic Brucemore Mansion has 750 tour admission vouchers available. Expiration is December 23, 2021.

Six-hundred Friday night racing vouchers are available to Hawkeye Downs Speedway, along with 300 vouchers for the Enduro Series race. They expire on September 30, 2021.

The History Center has 150 family memberships available. Those include free museum admission for up to six people. They're good for a year.

ImOn Ice Arena has 250 free public skate passes. They include skate rental and expire on December 31, 2021.

The Indian Creek Nature Center is providing 750 free $10 vouchers that can be used for anything for sale in the retail store or for program registration. They can't be used for special events or traded for cash. They're good through December 31, 2021.

500 free admission passes are available from the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library. The first 100 people who sign up for one of the free vouchers also get $10 at the Museum Store. Both expire December 31, 2021.

Theatre Cedar Rapids (TCR) is offering free admission for in-person shows this year. These are limited availability, while supplies last. It includes outdoor performances produced by TCR. Information on in-person shows, and dates they go on sale, will be released late this spring.
