Former Iowa State wider receiver Allen Lazard wasn't drafted into the NFL. He only had one career catch in the regular season going into last night's game against the Detroit Lions. None of that stopped Lazard from stepping up and giving Green Bay what they desperately needed last night. A deep threat.

Green Bay is depleted at wide receiver. Star wideout Davante Adams is out with turf toe. Geronimo Allison left the game with a concussion. Other Packer wideouts dropped passes left and right. Who would step up in the pivotal fourth quarter? Lazard got his chance when quarterback Aaron Rodgers asked if '13' could come in. Needless to say, he made the most of his chance!

Lazard added several more key catches down the stretch as Green Bay pulled off the 23-22 win over the Lions. Lazard led the Packers with 65 yards receiving and his touchdown catch. With Adams' status uncertain and Allison certainly in the concussion protocol, this could be just the shot that Lazard has been hoping for.
