Some NFL teams tinker with their uniform design frequently. But the Green Bay Packers are less willing to make such changes. The Packers' uniform hasn't changed much over the decades, but this NFL season, the team will unveil a new helmet design the league has never seen before!

According to Andrew Lind with SportsLogos.net, Green Bay will wear a new helmet with their throwback uniforms in 2025. And the newly designed helmet will be the first of its kind in the NFL.

What Do the Packers' 1950s Throwback Uniforms Look Like?

I haven't been a fan of some Green Bay throwbacks, but the 1950s uniforms look sharp. For those that don't remember, the '50s retro uniforms feature green jerseys with yellow numbers and stripes, and green pants.

The helmet that the Packers previously used with these uniforms was all yellow with a gray facemask. But according to Lind, Green Bay is reportedly on the verge of wearing the first 'airbrushed' helmet in NFL history. The helmets would be painted to closely resemble the old leather helmets worn by players of the past. Several college teams have worn them, including a fantastic version worn by Illinois last season.

When Will We See the New Packers' Helmet?

You might want to wait and see if it shows up in the new Madden NFL football game when it comes out this summer! Last July, the Packers' all white helmet was leaked in the Madden gameplay trailer. Perhaps the 'leather' helmet will appear in this year's video!

The Packers will announce which games they'll wear the '50s throwback uniforms prior to the start of the NFL season.
