Why The Green Bay Packers Will Win the Super Bowl This Season
History has a strange way of repeating itself. Just ask a Green Bay Packer fan. When a young quarterback named Aaron Rodgers was ready to start, an aging Brett Favre was traded to the New York Jets. Over a decade later, Rodgers was traded to the Jets when the Packers knew Jordan Love was ready to be the starter. Now, Packer fans are hoping that another trend continues, and if it does, the Green Bay Packers are going to win the Super Bowl this season.
I consider myself a sports fan that is, for the most part, grounded in reality. I understand there are many things that can derail a team searching for a championship. But sometimes, history is just too strange to ignore. When the Packers traded for Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons last week, it wasn't the first time Green Bay paired a superstar on defense with a franchise star quarterback.
General Manager Ron Wolf Pairs Brett Favre with Reggie White
Packers Wire reports that Hall of Fame GM Ron Wolf took a chance and traded for Brett Favre. He then shocked the football world when he convinced free agent defensive lineman Reggie White to sign with the Packers. Green Bay would go on to win Super Bowl XXXI with Favre and White leading the way.
Packer GM Ted Thompson Pairs Aaron Rodgers with Charles Woodson
Green Bay GM Ted Thompson drafted Aaron Rodgers while Brett Favre was still on the roster. Packers Wire reports that he also convinced Raider defensive back Charles Woodson to come to Green Bay. He would go on to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2009, and helped lead the Packers to another Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLV.
Has Packers GM Brian Gutekunst Found His Championship Pair?
Gutekunst sure hopes so. After trading two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark to the Cowboys for Micah Parsons, they signed the defensive star to a 4-year, $188 million contract extension. Last July, the Packers signed quarterback Jordan Love to a 4-year, $220 million contract extension. Green Bay is betting once again that a top defensive player paired with a franchise quarterback can eventually win a Super Bowl.

Why Will the Green Bay Packers Win Super Bowl LX?
I stated earlier that history has a strange way of repeating itself. When Favre won the Super Bowl with Reggie White, he was 27 years old. When Aaron Rodgers and Charles Woodson won the Super Bowl in 2010, Rodgers was 27 years old. Current Packer quarterback Jordan Love has a birthday coming up on November 2nd. He will turn 27 years old.
