A serious crash in Linn County Thursday afternoon injured six different people from Benton County.

According to a media release from the Linn County Sheriff's Department, Deputies along with Linn County Rescue, the Iowa State Patrol, Palo Fire, Hiawatha Ambulance, Area Ambulance, and LifeGuard Air Ambulance all responded to the accident. It was reported just before 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon on Covington Road, between Gibney Road and Ross Road, northwest of Highway 100.

An investigation determined 36-year-old Victoria Felt of Vinton was driving south on Covington Road when she entered the northbound side of the road and struck a vehicle being driven by 56-year-old Joseph Armstrong of Urbana.

Felt was seriously injured in the crash and was transported by LifeGuard Air Ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Armstrong and three passengers, who are all from Urbana, suffered minor injuries. The passengers in his vehicle were 52-year-old Lynda Armstrong, 17-year-old Conner Armstrong, and 15-year-old Ryker Armstrong. All four were taken by Area Ambulance and Hiawatha Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Everyone involved was wearing their seat belt. The Iowa State Patrol and the Linn County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate the accident.
