Everyone Seems to Want This Iowa High School Quarterback [VIDEOS]
After tossing for 27 touchdowns, rushing for 18, and throwing only six interceptions in two seasons, everyone seems to want him on their team. The amazing thing? He still has two years of high school left.
His name is Max Duggan. He's already been the starting quarterback for Council Bluffs Lewis Central for two years, playing for his dad, Jim. Duggan, 6'1" tall and 180 pounds, got his first FBS scholarship offer from the University of Iowa, where Kirk Ferentz loves pro-syle quarterbacks. However, many believe this kid is a dual threat. His numbers and highlight videos back it up.
Duggan also has scholarship offers from Iowa State, North Carolina, Kansas State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Marshall, and Penn State. 247 Sports calls him the 5th best pro-style quarterback in the 2019 class, putting him in very elite territory. The Des Moines Register says "no Iowa high school quarterback has been rated higher than No. 14 at the position over the last 15 years."
What I like about his high school highlight videos are that after every play he acts like he's done it before. I don't see any showboating. That would fit the style of Iowa football perfectly. Then again, I'm very partial to the Hawks. Good luck with your choice and the rest of your high school career, Max.
P.S. Pick Iowa.
