You know a promotion has gone bad when it bankrupts your company. That is what reportedly happened to Red Lobster with its endless shrimp deal. But now that the restaurant chain is in much better financial shape, the all-you-can-eat deal is making a comeback!

Endless Shrimp is Back at Red Lobster

USA Today reports that Red Lobster is giving the endless shrimp thing another try. The all-you-can-eat promotion returned to participating restaurants on Monday, April 20th. Endless shrimp was taken off the menu when the restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy in 2024, which led to the closure of 130 Red Lobster locations. The $20 price tag was seen by many as way too low, and USA Today reports that the promotion cost the company $11 million in losses.

Changes To The Endless Shrimp Promotion

USA Today reports that Endless Shrimp is back for a limited time only, at participating locations. The price has gone up to $24.99, but reports are that some restaurants are charging as much as $30. You can get five different shrimp varieties.

  • Marry Me Shrimp
  • Shrimp Liguini Alfredo
  • Walt's Favorite Shrimp
  • Garlic Shrimp Scampi
  • Parot Isle Coconut Shrimp

I have a long and storied history with the Endless Shrimp promotion at Red Lobster. I believe my personal record is somewhere near 139 shrimp. I used to be able to pound the shrimp scampi for days, but gout has prevented me from enjoying all-you-can-eat shrimp for a few years now.

Red Lobster has Eastern Iowa locations in Cedar Rapids, Coralville, and Davenport.
