Eastern Iowans Share the Stories Behind Their Favorite 2024 Photos [GALLERY]

A picture is worth 1,000 words!

This month, we asked listeners to share their favorite photos of 2024 with us. We also asked them to tell us the reason why they chose that photo. As you can imagine, we got lots of incredible responses.

Some people shared photos from vacations, some shared photos of family gatherings and celebrations, and some shared photos of their kids, grandkids, or pets! But, not all photos had a happy story behind them. Some people shared the very last photos they took of their loved ones before they passed. Whether they're happy or sad, we absolutely loved seeing these important moments in our listeners' lives. As you can see in the gallery above, I chose one of the MANY photos that my friend and I took at the Sunflower Experience in Belle Plaine this summer. Sunflowers are my absolute favorite (I even have a sunflower tattoo!), and this was my very first time visiting one of these sunflower farms. I was in heaven!
