The Songs and Albums I Couldn't Stop Listening To in 2024 [VIDEO]

One of the reasons I work in radio is music. I've been a music lover my whole life. And while yes, I work at a country radio station, I listen to a lot of different kinds of music in my spare time. Our favorite streaming services do something fun towards the end of each year. They put out a year in review of your listening habits. One question that I often get from listeners is, "What music do you listen to when you're not on the air?" Well, here you go!

My streaming service of choice is YouTube Music. I also have Spotify, but my kids have taken that over. My Year in Review of Music came out last week and in 2024 Country dominated! Not super surprising, right? First, here are the artists I listened to the most this past year.

Zach Bryan took home the award for my most listened-to artist in 2024. There are several reasons for that. One, his album Great American Bar Scene dropped this year and is fantastic. Second, my daughter Cayleigh and I got to see him in concert back in April in Des Moines. I also loved Koe Wetzel's album 9 Lives, and I listened to plenty of Post Malone's F-1 Trillion project this year too.

And now, my top five songs I couldn't stop listening to in 2024!

5. Straight Line - Keith Urban - My favorite track of his 2024 album HIGH.

4. Cowboy Songs - George Birge - I've been on this song since early summer and it has finally caught on at country radio.

3. I Had Some Help - Post Malone with Morgan Wallen - The Song of the Summer. This song is just impossible not to like!

2. High Road - Koe Wetzel with Jessie Murph - I told you I loved Koe's 2024 album 9 Lives. This song took a while to catch on at country radio too.

1. Damn Near Normal - Koe Wetzel - Back to Koe again. There is just something about this song that I couldn't stop hearing. A feeling that we're all going through something, and some people deal with it in different ways. It might seem odd to others, but it's 'damn near normal' for Koe and many others.

In 2024, I listened to 10,113 minutes of music. I listened because I was happy, sad, upset, hopeful, you name it. The same reasons you all listen to music. That is what keeps me coming back and wanting to discover more.
