Eastern Iowa Well Represented At Boys State Basketball Tournament

Eastern Iowa was well represented at the Iowa Boys High School Basketball Tournament this week.

In Class 4A, Iowa City West avenges last year's title game loss to West Des Moines Valley 64-50 to win the 4A Championship. Iowa City West finishes the season 23-3. Cedar Rapids Kennedy had a great season as they finished 4th overall in class 4A.

Cedar Rapids Xavier does it again in Class 3A. Xavier takes it's 2nd in a row Boys State Basketball Championship with a 54-49 over Sergeant Bluff-Luton. Waverly-Shell Rock knocked off West Delaware, Manchester 48-44 for 3rd with West Delaware, Manchester finishing out the season 4th overall.

In Class 1A, Gladbrook-Reinbeck came up just short in it's bid for a 2nd straight championship as they lost to Grand View Christian 61-50. North Linn, Troy Mills wrapped up their season 3rd overall in CLass 1A with a win over St. Mary’s, Remsen 76-66.
