My wife and I received a Keurig Coffee maker as a Christmas gift several years ago. Neither of us are big coffee drinkers, but we thought it would be nice that if we wanted a cup, not an entire pot of coffee, a Keurig machine is the way to go. We aren't alone. Keurig products are everywhere. A survey in 2013 revealed that 1 in 3 American homes had a single serving coffee machine. But the inventor of the Keurig feels bad it was ever invented.

John Sylvan invented his Keurig machine back in the mid to late 1990s. Their easiness to use and a large variety of flavors of coffee have made them insanely popular. But Sylvan regrets one aspect of his invention:  the cups. The cups are almost impossible to re-cycle. How much does he regret his invention? Sylvan says he doesn't even own a Keurig, saying they're too expensive to use.
