Can you believe that "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year? Are you serious, Clark?

Yes, we are. And in honor of this momentous occasion, a local theater is hosting a special screening, back on the big screen for one week in December.

You can get your tickets for the special screening in Cedar Rapids from the Wehrenberg Theaters, where it will be showing locally, along with the Sycamore 12 in Iowa City and the College Square Cinemas in Cedar Falls as part of the "Holiday Classics" retro series December 13-19. That same week, other classic Christmas hits will be showing, including It's A Wonderful Life and The Polar Express

Showing December 6-12 will be Elf, White Christmas, and Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Learn more about the Holiday Classics Retro Series at the Wehrenberg website.

I don't think I know ANYONE who can go the whole holiday season without seeing "Christmas Vacation". How can you? The shenanigans, misunderstandings and hilarious arguments among the Griswolds hilariously hit home in so many ways.

Don't miss your chance to see it the way it was meant to be seen. It'll be like you're witnessing Clark's obliviously clumsy charm in person. And you won't end up like Margo and Todd wondering how the carpet got messed up, because it's the theater's problem!
